Dubai - Mall of the Emirates, Eat Greek

Hello. I would like to take this time to share what my life looks like in Dubai.

 

I would like to emphasise the point that you may have read many reviews of the same places by different people and they differ depending on the bloggers' mood. Fyi, I am a cheerful type so I see things quite positively. :) 

So the other day I went to Eat Greek in the Mall of the Emirates to meet a friend. They did social distancing as per the government's requirements and offered hand sanitizing as soon as I sat.

 

The waiter asked whether I wanted some drinks whilst waiting for my friend. I normally go for their juices as I love them, so fresh and naturally sweet! But I had some sweet sandwiches for snacks so I wanted water and saw 'Greek Mineral Water' on the menu for the first time so ordered it. I liked it quite much as it was low on sodium and was easy to consume. Frankly, I drink at most 2 cups of water when I'm in a restaurant but we finished this 1L bottle so yes we did enjoy it.

As I was enjoying the atmosphere of this place I've been at least 5 times, they served some bread that I'm assuming is a Greek type of cooking. It was chewy and delicious too. I had it as it is and my friend had it with some olive oil and balsamic.

Now moving onto the menu, I have the standard-to-a-bit-picky type tastebud so I can say you can trust me with this 😘. We ordered Filetto Eat Greek - which is their fillet, the chargrilled octopus, and some couscous salad.

We enjoyed the food as well as the atmosphere, apart from the fact that the steak was well done when we asked for a medium.. but still all was fully satisfying. Beneath that steak is some grilled potatoes and to be 100% honest with you, I would go for that menu again for that potatoes. It was that good, reminding me of South Africa somehow 😄
